Weekend Crime Blotter: ‘D’ Train Robberies, Windsor Terrace Bank Robbery, And More
SUNSET PARK – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the three individuals seen in the surveillance photos below in connection to two recent subway robberies.
Incident 1 – At approximately 3:30am on Sunday, October 15, the suspects approached a 19-year-old man onboard a northbound “D” and punched him multiple times as the train approached the 36th Street subway station. The suspects then snatched the victim’s headphones and fled, according to police. The victim was not injured during the incident.
Incident 2 – At approximately 4:00am on Sunday, October 15, the suspects approached a 24-year-old woman on a northbound “D” stopped at the 9th Avenue subway station and took her Samsung cellphone. The victim attempted to chase the suspects but stopped when one of them flashed what is believed to be a firearm in his waistband, police say.
Police describe the three suspects as follows:
Suspect 1 – black male, approximately 18-years-old, approximately 5′ 9″ and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
Suspect 2 – black male wearing a gray sweatshirt.
Suspect 3 – black female wearing a white t-shirt and a red/white scarf around her head.

WINDSOR TERRACE – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the woman seen in the below surveillance photos in connection to a bank robbery that occurred over the weekend.
Police say at approximately 12:30pm on Saturday, October 14, the suspect entered the Santander Bank located at 234 Prospect Park West, approached the bank teller and passed her a note demanding money. The teller handed over $1,333 and the suspect fled the scene heading north on Prospect Park West. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a black female with a dark complexion, 20- to 30-years-old, approximately 5′ 11″ and 160-170 pounds. She was last seen wearing eyeglasses, a green hooded jacket with a dark colored bandana and carrying a black shoulder bag.

EAST FLATBUSH – On Friday, October 13 at approximately 7:00am, the NYPD responded to a 911 call of an unconscious child at a residence located on Oakland Place near Albemarle Road in East Flatbush.
When they arrived, officers discovered 2-month-old Armani Hill unconscious and unresponsive. EMS transported the baby girl to Kings County Hospital where she was pronounced dead, the NYPD reports.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the infant’s death.
BENSONHURST – The NYPD is investigating a fatal vehicle collision that left an 83-year-old Bensonhurst resident dead.
On Tuesday, October 3, at approximately 12:45pm police responded to a call regarding a pedestrian struck at the intersection of 85th Street and 23rd Avenue where they found Baiyan Lui lying on the road with trauma to his body.
EMS transported Lui to NYU Lutheran Medical Center in critical condition. On Wednesday, October 11, Lui died from his injuries. The preliminary investigation found that Lui was attempting to cross 85th Street when a 2009 Nissan sedan travelling east on 85th struck him at 23rd Avenue, according to police.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
SHEEPSHEAD BAY/MIDWOOD – Police are searching for the man seen in the below surveillance photos in connection to a series of debit card scams that occurred earlier this year.
Incident 1 – Police say the suspect took a 46-year-old woman’s debit card information and encoded it onto another card. At approximately midnight on Sunday, April 23, the suspect used the card at an Apple Bank located on Kings Highway in Sheepshead Bay, making three withdrawals totaling $1,000. The victim told police she had her debit card during the time of the transactions.
Incident 2 – Police say the suspect took a 30-year-old woman’s debit card information and encoded it onto another card. At approximately midnight on Tuesday, May 23, the suspect reportedly went to several Dime Savings Banks and Great Lake ATM’s and withdrew approximately $6,900. This victim said she also had her debit card during the time of these transactions.
Incident 3 – Police say the suspect took a 62-year-old woman’s debit card info and again encoded it onto another card. At approximately 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 23, the suspect went to ATMs located on Avenue M in Midwood and withdrew approximately $1,060 from the victim’s account. This victim also had her debit card during the time of the incidents.
Incident 4 – The suspect pulled the same scheme using a 94-year-old woman’s debit card info. Shortly after 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 23, police say the suspect went to Apple Banks located on Kings Highway in Sheepshead Bay and Avenue M in Midwood and made five withdrawals totaling $1,774. The victim was once again in possession of her debit card during the time of these transactions.
Police describe the suspect as a white male with a light complexion and a beard. See the surveillance photos of the suspect below.
