Weekend Crime Blotter: Shot in the Foot in East Flatbush, A Pair of Robberies & More

EAST FLATBUSH – Police are looking for a suspect who fired a gun at the feet of another man on an East Flatbush street last week.

Around 9:45 pm on Thursday, April 5, the suspect walked by the 27-year old victim on the street outside of 985 Lenox Road, before doubling back and firing shots at him at close range. Police said one of the shots struck the victim in the left foot.

The suspect fled on foot down East 91st and the victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, said police. The incident can be seen on surveillance video below:

DOWNTOWN – NYC Corrections Officer Theresa Tucker, 53, was arrested on Saturday, April 7, at 11:00 am and charged with Assault, Menacing and Disorderly Conduct, said police.

EAST FLATBUSH – Police are looking for two unidentified suspects in pair of robberies in East Flatbush last month.

The first took place at the Apple Food Corp grocery at 5415 Church Avenue, on Monday, March 5. The two men entered the store around 11:45 pm, showed a gun and stole $600 from the cash register, said police.

A few weeks later, on Wednesday, March 21, the same two men showed up at the Be Smart Food Store at 4902 Avenue D at 10:40 pm. Once again, the men displayed a firearm and demanded money, but this time the cashier refused, said police. The two suspects fled on foot.

No injuries were reported as a result of either incident. Surveillance photos from the two incidents can be seen below:
