Weekend Crime Blotter: Streetcorner Shootout in Bed-Stuy, Subway Lewdness in Prospect Heights & More
BED-STUY – Police are looking for three men wanted for their role in a streetcorner shootout that took place in Bed-Stuy earlier this month.
At 5:30 am on Saturday, August 5, two men in the area of Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Van Buren Street exchanged gunfire on the street, said police. One of the men, a 22-year old, was shot in the leg.
A third, unknown shooter also opened up with a gun, exchanging fire with both the original suspects before they all fled the scene, said police. The injured party managed to walk into Brooklyn Hospital despite being shot in the leg and is in stable condition.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS – Police are looking out for a subway masturbator in Prospect Heights who was pleasuring himself in the 7th Avenue station late last month.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, July 31, the suspect was seen lying on a bench on the southbound side of the Q train platform, engaging in said act of public lewdness for about 20 minutes, police said.

BED-STUY – Finally, a staffer for mayoral First Lady Chirlane McCray was robbed while walking home in Bed-Stuy last week, the Post reports.
Deputy press secretary Brittany Jones, 27, was walking home last week when an unknown robber snuck up behind her near Schenectady Avenue and Herkimer Street and grabbed her by the neck, police said.
The man demanded her property, so Jones turned over her bag, which had two cell phones, car keys, and her City Hall ID, police told the paper.
The incident occurred around 11:15 pm on Wednesday, August 8, police said. Jones was unharmed in the attack.
