Looking for something fun to do this week? From a stand-up show with free pizza to a discussion on philosophy, from a workout at the park to a screening of the film District 9, we’ve got a bunch of great events in the area this week, and here are the details:

Serene Khader On Adaptive Preferences & Women In The Global South
When: Monday, March 30, 7pm
Where: Central Library, InfoCommons Lab, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: The monthly series Brooklyn Public Philosophers presents Serene Khader of Brooklyn College, who will share her work on adaptive preferences, their moral significance, and women’s empowerment.
How much: Free!

Union Hall Song Club
When: Monday, March 30, 9pm
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street

TinyRhino: After Hours
When: Tuesday, March 31, 8pm
Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw Street
What: In this monthly theatrical drinking game, TinyRhino commissions six playwrights to write new plays, each including the same five dramatic elements. Guests will be given a list of these elements, which could show up at any time, in any order, and with any frequency. When they do show up, it means — you guessed it — drink!
How much: $10, tickets available in advance.

The Fancy Show One Year Anniversary
When: Tuesday, March 31, 8:30pm
Where: Bar Reis, 375 5th Avenue
What: The stand-up series is celebrating one year of shows at Bar Reis with free stuff (including pizza!) drink giveaways, and, of course, some funny comedians — the show will feature Liza Treyger, Anthony P. DeVito, Simmons McDavid, Shalewa Sharpe, Auggie Lutz, Lane Pieschel, Michael Joyce, and host Langston Kerman.

Shape Up NYC: Glutes In Gear
When: Wednesday, April 2, 6-7pm
Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Looking for a belly-busting, booty shaping workout? This two-part class focuses on high-endurance cardio and mat work to build your core, and flatten and tighten your abs and glutes. No registration is required, but be sure to bring your own mat.
How much: Free!

A Taste Of Fifth
When: Wednesday, April 1, 6:30pm
Where: The Grand Prospect Hall, 263 Prospect Avenue
What: A Taste of Fifth is back, and tickets are still available! Not only does admission treat you to food from some of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, beer and wine are also included, and $20 from your ticket price goes to a local charity of your choice. Film Screening: District 9

Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: See the 2009 Neill Blomkamp sci-fi film where aliens are being exploited in a militarized ghetto called District 9.
