Chitra Ganesh On Eyes Of Time

Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Brooklyn-based artist Chitra Ganesh will discuss her current exhibit at Brooklyn Museum, Chitra Ganesh: Eyes of Time — which explores ideas of femininity, empowerment, and multiplicity — with Guernica Magazine’s Alex Zafiris.

Secret Science Club: “Microscopic City” With Christopher Mason
When: Tuesday, March 24, 8pm
Where: The Bell House, 149 7th Street
What: The subway system is totally gross, which Christopher Mason, from the Physiology and Biophysics departments at Weill Cornell Medical College, knows intimately! He led the team that swabbed all the stations and trains to learn all the things that are there, and he’ll be talking about that, and more.

Brother From Another Planet
When: Wednesday, March 25, 7pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: See the 1984 film from John Sayles where an escaped alien slave hiding from his masters tries to find sanctuary in Harlem (while falling in love and learning to repair video games with his mind).

Masters Of Social Gastronomy Presents: The World’s Weirdest Foods (Part I)

What: “One man’s delicacy is another man’s nightmare!” So goes the teaser for this discussion on the world’s strangest eats, which sounds equal parts stomach-turning and totally enthralling.
