Can’t Stand Trivia

What: Swing by tonight for a few rounds of trivia — there’s a chance not only to win booze, but also wings from Bonnie’s. The only catch, of course, is that you’ve got to win — so assemble your smartest friends, stat.

Union Hall Song Club

The Art Of Living Meditation Workshop

Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Stress and life in the big city often go hand in hand, but the Park Slope Library is at the ready with a meditation workshop, led by volunteer organization The Art of Living. Note that this class is for adults only. No reservation is required.

Springer Storytellers & The Story Collider: Stories About Science

Where: The Bell House, 149 7th Street
What: Five stories about science, as told by scientists, about the ways science and their own research has affected their lives and others.

Shape Up NYC: Glutes In Gear
When: Wednesday, March 4, 6-7pm
Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Looking for a belly-busting, booty shaping workout? This two-part class focuses on high-endurance cardio and mat work to build your core, and flatten and tighten your abs and glutes. No registration is required, but be sure to bring your own mat.

FaithTALKS: What Color Is God’s Justice?
When: Wednesday, March 4, 6:30pm
Where: Old First Reformed Church, 729 Carroll Street
What: The first in a series of talks, this will cover the topic of racial tensions and the role of faith in our divided society, featuring Darnell Moore, educator and writer, and CNBC’s Kate Kelly, interviewer and moderator. The event begins at 7pm, with a wine and cheese reception beforehand.

Dr. Dread: The Half That’s Never Been Told
When: Wednesday, March 4, 7pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Th Doctor Dread, aka, Gary Himelfarb, will be joined on stage by David Hinds of Steel Pulse to explain how a white, Jewish American became one of the foremost producers in reggae, producing artists like Freddie McGregor, Eek-A-Mouse, Black Uhuru, and more.
How much: Free, but RSVP to be seated first.
