IRL Club: An Evening With The Internet
When: Monday, February 9, 7:30pm
Where: The Bell House, 149 7th Street
What: The fifth in this series of talks about the internet will feature Peiqi Su and Her Amazing Penis Wall, The Cool Freaks Wikipedia Club, Paul Ford, Brian Droitcour, Humza Deas, and Leon Chang.
How much: $5 at the door.

Meet My Owner
When: Tuesday, February 10, 7:30-9pm
Where: Park Slope Ale House, 356 6th Avenue
What: Single pet owners and pet lovers in Park Slope and surrounding neighborhoods are invited to meet, mingle, and support a good cause — a portion of admission and 100% of raffle sales, featuring prizes from great local businesses, will be donated to Sean Casey Animal Rescue.
How much: $7 in advance, $8 at the door.

Cheap Date Comedy Show
When: Tuesday, February 10, 8pm
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street
What: If you do happen to have a date already, we’ll excuse you from the Meet My Owner event and offer you this fun stand-up comedy night, hosted by Sharron Paul and Calvin Cole and featuring Jeffrey Joseph, Janelle James, Jon Laster, and The Lucas Brothers.
How much: $5, tickets available in advance.

Peniel Joseph On Stokely Carmichael And Black Power
When: Wednesday, February 11, 7pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Peniel Joseph, Professor of History at Tufts University and author of Stokely: A Life, and Waiting ‘til the Midnight Hour: A Narrative History of Black Power in America, will discuss Stokely Carmichael’s life as a Trinidadian-American political activist known for leading the civil rights group SNCC in the 1960s.
How much: Free, but RSVP to guarantee your seat.

Friends Of Single People
When: Wednesday, February 10, 8pm
Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw Street
What: Another great chance to find luv this week is this excellent live dating game, where you represent your single friends onstage as they remain anonymous in the crowd while you speak on their behalf and choose their potential mate.
