It’s the last week of summer, and the city is more or less a ghost town. Our suggestion? Sneak out of work early, enjoy a local happy hour, then feast on some comedy, hear a talk about soda, and find out if your ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War. Details on those events and more:

Finding Your Revolutionary War Ancestry

What: Historian Wilhelmina Kelly will show you how to find out if your ancestors served in the Revolutionary War or any other American conflict using ancestry.com, familysearch.or, DAR.org, and other genealogy resources available at the Brooklyn Public Library.
