MLK Jr. Concert Series in Wingate Park
When: Monday, July 18 and Mondays through August 8, at 7:30pm
Where: Wingate Park, 600 Kingston Avenue between Rutland Road and Kingston Street
What: Enjoy a free performance by Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante and Kool Moe Dee, at this annual East Flatbush free summer concert series. Limited room at the park, first come first serve. Call the concert hotline for weather updates at 718-222-0600. BYO chairs.

We’re Going to Hell Comedy Show
When: Monday, July 18 at 9pm
Where: Bar Chord, 1003 Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and Stratford Road
What: Caleb Barge and Zach Erwin bring to you a free stand up comedy show at Bar Chord on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of every month.
How Much: Free comedy, but don’t forget the drinks at the bar.

Sycamore’s Single Mingle Bingo
When: Tuesday, July 19 at 8pm
Where: Sycamore Bar, 1118 Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster Roads
What: “Heads & eyes up, hearts open, and phones away” at Sycamore’s singles mixer, Bingo-for-love (or lust). Whether you’re straight, gay & everything in between, come join in the live-meeting fun. However, do everyone a favor, and only come out if you’re single. Participants must sign-up here

Free Creative Writing for Adults
When: Tuesday, July 19 at 6:15pm
Where: Cortelyou Public Library, 1305 Cortelyou Road at Argyle Road
What: Looking to hone your creative writing skills in a supportive environment? Or share your writing with a group of other writers? Join the New York Writers Coalition for this weekly class at the Cortelyou Library, and find that writers community you’ve been looking for. (No prior experience necessary — that does sound supportive)

Sing-a-long with Greenwood Playground
When: Thursday, July 21 at 10am
Where: Meet at the Cortelyou Tot Lot, Cortelyou Road at Argyle Road

Free Community Yoga in Prospect Park
When: Thursday, July 21 at 7pm
Where: Prospect Park Long Meadow North, enter at 3rd Street or Grand Army Plaza
What: Bend and Bloom Yoga brings free community yoga classes to Prospect Park, ending the day with a relaxing sunset stretching session in the park. BYO towel or yoga mat, and water. Before your first class, you must RSVP and fill out the waiver which can be found here.

Family Fishing Evening
When: Thursday, July 21 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: Audubon Center at Prospect Park, enter at Lincoln Road
What: Join the Prospect Park Alliance for an introductory catch-and-release fishing class with naturalists. Learn how to tie a fishing knot, attach bait, and cast a line. Families and children ages 8 + years old, all equipment and  snacks provided. Advance registration is required
How Much: $5 per attendee, cash only at the door.

Dance Show at Celebrate Brooklyn: Camille A. Brown & Dancers BLACK GIRL
When: Thursday, July 21 at 7:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, at Prospect Park West and 9th Street
What: Choreographer Camille A. Brown uses her rhythmically and visually captivating work to explore black female identity in this evening-length piece, with Linguistic Play / Brandee Younger.
How Much: Free

History and Wine Tour at the Kings Theater
When: Thursday, July 21 at 6:30pm
Where: The Kings Theater, 1027 Flatbush Avenue between Tilden Avenue and Duryea Place
What: A great date-night at the restored Kings Theatre — a happy hour, historic venue tour paired with a glass of the theater’s best wine (does the theater have good wine? Let us know!) Must be 21 + and one glass of wine (white or red) included in the ticket.
How Much: $25 each

Dance Performance + Dance Party with Cynthia King Dancers<
When: Friday, July 22 at 2pm
Where: Greenwood Playground summer programing, Greenwood playground at East 5th Street between Greenwood Avenye and Fort Hamilton Parkway.
