There is nothing that fosters community spirit better than rolling up your sleeves and working side by side with your neighbors to help keep your neighborhood clean. The Federation of Italian American Organizations (FIAO) is inviting community members to do just that.

FIAO will be holding a “Community Beautification Project” this Wednesday, August 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. along 20th Avenue from 60th Street to 75th Street (Bay Ridge Parkway) as well as a “Graffiti Clean Up And Spruce Up” along 18th Avenue from 60th Street to 75th Street.

Made possible with a grant from the Citizen’s Committee for NYC, this project will help to make for a cleaner, more attractive Bensonhurst. As Martha would say, sounds like “a good thing.”
