Wednesday Crime Blotter: Arsonist Sets Car Afire in Bed-Stuy, Baby-Formula Bandits Rob Bodega & More
BED-STUY – Police are looking for a woman who set fire to a car in Bed-Stuy in the early hours of Saturday, April 28.
The arsonist intentionally set fire to the car at 52 Decatur Street by unknown means around 3:30 am, said police. Surveillance video of the suspect can be seen below:
EAST FLATBUSH – Two suspects are wanted in connection with a shooting that sent a man to the hospital last week in East Flatbush.
Around 7:30 pm on Friday, April 27, the 25-year victim was approached by two men in front of 225 East 93rd Street, between Winthrop Street and Clarkson Avenue, said police. The suspects fired several shots, wounding the victim with a shot that grazed his head.
The suspects fled on foot towards Clarkson Ave, and the victim was transported to Kings County Hospital where he was treated and released, said police.

GRAVESEND – On Friday, April 27, a subway creep made unwanted sexual contact with a 15-year old girl on a northbound D train—now, police are circulating his picture and looking to bring him in.
The incident occurred around 3:30 pm as the train approached Bay 50th Street Station, said police. The suspect walked up to the young victim and touched her inner thigh, then attempted to kiss her, said police. The girl shoved her assailant away, knocking him to the floor, said police.
The girl moved to another car, while the creep stayed where he was. A cell-phone photo of the man can be seen below:
EAST NEW YORK – Police are looking for two baby-formula bandits that robbed a bodega on Pitkin Avenue earlier this month.
The incident took place at 2757 Pitkin Ave, near Crescent Street, when two men entered the Asian Supermarket & Halal Meat grocery store around 4:45 am. Inside, they placed $140 worth of baby formula in plastic bags and fled the location without paying, said police.

BRIGHTON BEACH – Police are looking for man who broke into a Brighton Beach residence earlier this month to steal jewelry and cash.
On April 17, the suspect forced his way into a residence of a 51-year old man near Brighton 4th Street and Neptune Avenue around 1:30 pm, said police. Once inside, the burglar stole the man’s jewelry and about $4,000 cash before fleeing, said police.
