Wednesday Crime Blotter: A Daycare Burglary, A Rooftop Groping & More

PROSPECT HEIGHTS – The NYPD confirmed that FDNY EMT Andrew Davis, 23, was arrested while on duty on Tuesday, May 22, for assaulting his girlfriend.

Davis was cuffed and charged with assault and harassment after hitting the woman near Classon Avenue and Eastern Parkway around 1:15 am, said police.

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS – Police are looking for the burglar that groped a sleeping woman through her window while walking on the roof of her PLG building early in the morning.

The incident occurred on Saturday, May 12, around 4:40 am, said police. The suspect was walking on the roof of a building in the vicinity of Clarkson Avenue and Rogers Avenue when he reached into the victim’s room and groped the 21-year old woman, who was asleep in her bed.

Claiming to be a police officer, the creep asked to join the woman in her bed—she replied with a scream that sent the rooftop stalker fleeing into the night.

NEXT – Earlier this month, a burglar robbed a daycare center in Crown Heights, and police are asking for the public’s help in tracking him down.

Around 4:00 am on Monday, May 7, the suspect used a rear window to gain access to All My Children Daycare at 31 Ford Street, near Lincoln Terrace Park, said police. Once inside, the thief stole a flatscreen TV and a computer from the childcare facility.

CROWN HEIGHTS – Police have released the video of a suspect wanted in connection with a forcible touching incident that occurred on Thursday, April 26.

Around 11:00 pm, outside of 820 Franklin Avenue, near Union Street, a 22-year old female victim was approached by an unknown man who proceeded to touch her groin and buttocks without her consent. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction, said police, leaving the victim uninjured.
