Wednesday: CEC 21 Meets At IS 281 For Monthly Meeting (Corrected)
The next Community Education Council District 21 (CEC 21) meeting will be held June 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Intermediate School 228 (I.S. 228) – David A. Boody, 228 Avenue S between West 4th Street and West 5th Street. I.S. 281 Joseph B. Cavallaro, 8787 24th Avenue.
Guest speaker Betty Zohar from the United Federation of Teachers union (UFT) will be discussing the work that the UFT does. Additionally, CEC 21 will be honoring retirees as well as welcoming the new principal of I.S. 281, Maria Bender. Public comment is encouraged at this meeting.
Entertainment will be provided by the students of the I.S. 281. Parking is available in the school yard.
