The fifth graders of P.S. 11 filled their auditorium with “Glory”ous sounds last week at the school’s Black History Showcase.

The students performed a fantastic, energetic and chilling rendition of Their the sounds of “Glory” — the Academy Award (aka Oscars) winning original song composed and sung by John Legend and Common for the Oscars-nominated film “Selma.”

Watch them for yourself here on the P.S. 11 PTA’s Facebook page.

As part of the school’s celebration of being named a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School — one of only 337 in the nation, and one of two serving Clinton Hill students — the fifth graders are also heading to the White House for a tour this May.

Keep up the great work!
