Watch Out For Road Closures & No Parking During Opening Day Parade On Saturday
No Parking for opening day parade

Little leaguers will be kicking off the season on Saturday, April 5 at 10am with the annual Opening Day parade through Park Slope and up to the Prospect Park Bandshell where they’ll throw the first pitch and enjoy other activities. What that means for neighbors is not just a chance to cheer on the kids, but that you should look out for road closures and no parking signs along the route.

The NYPD warns that the following streets will be closed during the parade, but should reopen as the little baseball stars pass by:

  • 7th Avenue between 1st Street and
9th Street
  • 9th Street between 7th Avenue and Prospect Park West

Note that Prospect Park has said the parade gathers at Carroll Street, and that we saw the no parking signs starting at Garfield. If you can, your best bet may be to just avoid driving in the area tomorrow morning.
