Watch Out For No Parking & Closed Roads For September Block Parties
We are still in the middle of block party season, which means a lot of fun with your neighbors — but also some hassles for parking and traveling around the area.
To give you a heads up, we’ll be rounding up a list of street closures for block parties each month this summer. We get a bit busy in the area in September, so there are a few weekend dates to watch out for. With thanks to Community Board 6 and Community Board 7, here are the details:
September 6: 12th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues
September 6: 16th Street between Prospect Park West and 10th Avenue
September 6: 17th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues
September 6: 17th Street between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West
September 6: 22nd Street between 4th and 5th Avenues
September 6: Reeve Place between Sherman and East 7th Streets
September 7: 17th Street between Prospect Park West and 10th Avenue
September 13: 14th Street between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West
September 13: 16th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues
September 13: 17th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues
September 13: East 3rd Street between Greenwood Avenue and Vanderbilt Street
September 13: Jackson Place bet. 16th Street & Prospect Avenue
September 13: Sherman Street between 10th and 11th Avenues
September 13: Terrace Place between Prospect Avenue and Sherman Street
September 13: Windsor Place between 10th and 11th Avenues
September 21: 10th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues
September 21: 10th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues
September 27: 29th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues
September 28: 13th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues
CB6 tells us they’re still working on some permits for the season, so this list may not be complete (we will update it if we get any more), so please keep an eye out for ‘no parking’ signs just in case.
