Watch Out For No Parking & Closed Roads For September Block Parties In Park Slope

We are in the middle of block party season, which means a lot of fun with your neighbors — but also some hassles for parking and traveling around the area.

To give you a heads up, we’ll be rounding up a list of street closures for block parties each month this summer. September is pretty packed, so there are a few weekend dates to watch out for. With thanks to Community Board 6, here are the details:

September 6: Sterling Place between 5th and 6th Avenues

September 6: 8th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues

September 6: 2nd Street between 5th and 5th Avenues

September 6: Berkeley Place between 6th and 7th Avenues

September 6: Carroll Stret between 5th and 6th Avenues

September 6: 8th Street between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West

September 13: Garfield Place between 5th and 6th Avenues

September 13: Carroll Street between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West

September 13: President Street between 3rd Avenue and Nevins Street

September 13: Warren Street between Bond and Nevins Street

September 13: 4th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues

September 13: Park Place between 5th and 6th Avenues

September 13: 7th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues

September 20: 5th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues

September 20: 7th Street between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West

September 20: 8th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues

September 20: 6th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues

CB6 tells us they’re still working on some permits for the season, so this list may not be complete (we will update it if we get any more), so please keep an eye out for ‘no parking’ signs just in case.
