Want to learn more about our neighborhood? Having a problem in our area that you’d like to discuss with community leaders? Just want to meet some other civically-minded neighbors?
You can do that, and more, at several upcoming meetings in our community.
- Community Board 12 will hold a public hearing Monday, June 15, on a controversial variance for a religious school at 182 Minna Street. The hearing will begin at 7pm at the Amico Senior Center, located at 5901 13th Avenue in Borough Park.
- Community Board 7, which includes Windsor Terrace and East Windsor Terrace, will hold their monthly general meeting this coming Wednesday, June 17 at 6:30pm. The meeting will take place at at CB 7’s board room, located at 4201 4th Avenue. During this meeting, neighbors are expected to discuss the possible development at 72 Caton Place, where a nine-story residential and retail project could be built.
- Community Board 12, which includes Kensington, will hold its general monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 23 at 7pm at the Amico Senior Center, located at 5910 13th Avenue. Numerous neighbors are expected to attend the meeting to discuss the controversial variance a religious school wants for 182 Minna Street.
- The 66th Precinct, which includes Kensington, will hold its monthly Community Council meeting on Thursday, June 25 at 7:30pm at Community Board 12’s main office, located at 5910 13th Avenue.
Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings and speak at them, though be sure to get there early to sign up to speak.
