Want A Manufacturing Job At The Brooklyn Navy Yard? Take A Free Five-Week Training Class
Brooklyn Workforce Innovations is offering a free five-week training course in manufacturing skills for people interested in jobs at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Classes include:
- Basic Electrical
- Tool Usage
- Construction Blueprint Reading
- Math and Measurement
- Small Engine Repair
- Resume Writing
- OSHA Certification
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be a resident, and not be employed full-time elsewhere. Hours for the training are full-time (Mon – Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM). Pre-screening tests include a drug screening and a reading and math test.
To apply, attend an information session at the Navy Yard Employment Center at BLDG 92 on the 4th floor of 63 Flushing Avenue, at Carlton Avenue, on either:
- Wednesday, February 3rd at 10:30 AM or
- Wednesday, February 10th at 10:30 AM
