Walgreens/Key Food Opening Moved To Spring 2014

The projected opening for the Walgreens/Key Food space at 589 Prospect Avenue in Windsor Terrace has been moved from December to spring 2014. The Walgreens is expected to open first, but not long before the Key Food.

Key Food has reported that the delay is because of serious sewage work that needed to be completed, but that they’ve purchased all of their equipment and will fast track the opening once they get keys to the building in January. Other updates:

• The Key Food is expected to be around 500 square feet larger than anticipated, which will allow for a sushi bar and wok station.

• Prices at the Key Food are expected to about 6-7% cheaper than the previous store.

The old Key Food closed in June 2012. Construction on the shared space began this past June.
