Voodoo Lounge Now Open On 13th Street

Looks like something of the vibe of Lucky 13 Saloon is back on 13th Street, as a new bar has opened in their former space.

Voodoo Lounge opened last week at 273 13th Street, just off 5th Avenue, where Lucky 13 had been for 11 years before it moved to a new space in Gowanus this past fall. According to their Facebook page, it sounds like it’s got a fun atmosphere as well — though where Lucky 13 was more metal, Voodoo Lounge is bringing us a taste of some southern comforts.

“Voodoo Lounge is Brooklyn’s answer to New Orleans, to interesting cocktails, to craft beers & tiki drinks & to a warm, inviting atmosphere you’ll love,” they write.

They’ll also, like Lucky 13, be pouring absinthe, which you can stop in to try during their open hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 5pm-3am, Friday and Saturday from 2pm-4am, and Sunday from 2pm-3am.
