Up to 12,000 people volunteer their time to make the TCS New York City Marathon one of the best races in the world — and you can help!

If you’re looking to do more than stand along 4th Avenue and cheer on the runners as they pass through our neighborhood this year on Sunday, November 2, consider signing up as a volunteer. They need people for the week of events leading up to the race, and through the end of the sign-up period on September 30, race-day opportunities — like assisting runners on their way to the starting line, manning fluid stations (there are ones on 4th between 1st and 2nd and between Dean and Pacific), or even helping out on the medical team — may open up for online registration.

You can also sign up with a group as small as 20 and up to 250 people — contact volunteers@nyrr.org for more info.

If you can’t commit to volunteering, be sure to head out to 4th Ave and make some noise — the runners appreciate that, too!
