Video Shows Shooter Firing Gun Near Bystanders In Flatbush

New NYPD surveillance footage of the gunman in an Independence Day weekend shooting in Flatbush, near the parade grounds, shows the suspect firing multiple shots near the heads of pedestrians.

The suspect pulled out a gun outside 20 St. Paul’s Court, between St. Paul’s Place and Ocean Avenue, at 1am on July 5, according to police reports. The film, which is small and mostly shaded, appears to show the suspect shielding his body behind a parked car and firing his weapon across the street, while a couple of umbrella-carrying bystanders quickly dart away from the shooter.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, was hit only once in the thigh and remains in stable condition, say police.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a black and white shirt, dark colored pants, white sneakers, and a black and white bandana.
