Police have release surveillance footage of the woman who allegedly tried to snatch a toddler in Bensonhurst over the weekend.

The suspect approached a 2-year-old girl who was playing outside with a neighbor’s dog near 80th Street and`16th Avenue on Saturday, May 28, at 9:50am, took her by the hand and started to walk away with her, according to police.

The child’s mother — identified by Pix11 as Fairouz Alfarez — chased woman and took her child back, according to police. The woman then kept walking away as if nothing had happen. There were no injuries reported.

The video shows a slight Asian woman, wearing sunglasses and a checkered shirt loitering on a street corner. She is believed to be in her 30s.
