[UPDATE] Police Search for Teen in Brownsville Hotel Robbery

[UPDATED: September 12, 2017 at 11am] The NYPD has announced that following an ongoing investigation, 19-year-old Brownsville resident, Zeandre Orr, has been arrested and charged with robbery in connection to this incident. Orr lives steps away from the Howard Johnson hotel that was robbed.

BROWNSVILLE – Police are looking for a man who robbed a Brownsville hotel Wednesday night.

Just after midnight on August 30, a man pushed his way into the lobby of the Howard Johnson hotel at 524 Rockaway Ave, near Sutter Avenue, demanding an employee empty the register, said police.

The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with approximately $600 cash, said police. He can be seen on surveillance video below:

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his late teens or early twenties, last seen wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants.
