UPDATE: Police Release Video Of Suspected Subway Attacker

As BKLYNER reported on Monday, a 29-year-old male commuter was spat on, verbally accosted with anti-gay remarks, and punched in the face while taking a Manhattan-bound C train to work last Thursday, March 30. The attack occurred as the subway approached the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station at about 8:50am during the morning rush hour commute, the NYPD reports.

Police, who are still searching for the suspect who fled at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop in Downtown Brooklyn, have released video footage and photos of the attacker.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 25-years-old, 5’6″ to 5’8″, 150 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket, black baseball cap, red/pink hoody, red pants, and purple headphones at the time of the attack.

The victim remained on the subway until it reached the 59th Street stop in Manhattan where he notified police of the incident. He suffered swelling and bruising to his face, but declined medical treatment.
