There are loads of free and low cost, fun and exciting events coming up this week in our area, including a Family Day public block party for the entire community in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II, a book sale for all the book lovers out there, and speaking of lovers… a meet and greet for Jewish singles looking for love, blood donor opportunities, and more. Family Day in Brighton Beach Commemorates 70th Anniversary of Allied Victory in World War II
When: Sunday, May 3, 10am to 5pm
Where: Coney Island Avenue from Brighton Beach Avenue to the Riegelman Boardwalk
What: A fun-filled, seasonal kick off and commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II. The event will feature a jazz band, dance performances from P.S. 215 and I.S. 228, classical ballet from the Brighton Ballet Theater, and more.
