Ukrainian Runners Divided Over Participating in New York Marathon

While some Ukrainians may sit out the marathon in protest over runners from Russia being allowed to participate, others plan to run in memory of their friends who have been killed in the war.

The Ukrainian Running Club of New York has petitioned the sponsors of the New York City Marathon to ban runners from Russia and Belarus over the war in Ukraine.
