Two Attempted Sexual Assaults In Park Slope
PARK SLOPE – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the video below in connection to two attempted sexual assaults Monday night.
The first incident happened on July 29 at approximately 11:50pm near 8th Avenue and 12th Street. Police say the suspect approached a 53-year-old woman from behind and partially pulled down her pants. The man ran away after the woman turned around and screamed at him. He fled towards Prospect Park West.
Minutes later, around midnight, police say the same man approached a 40-year-old woman in front of 330 13th Street (near 6th Avenue), pushed her against a car and tried to sexually assault her. The woman fought him off and the suspect fled.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8″, 160 pounds with a slim build, and dreadlocks. He was last seen carrying a backpack and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with green lettering on the front, grey sweatpants, white sneakers with black laces, and a red, white, and blue bandana.
