It looks like two brick homes at 575 and 581 Ocean Parkway will soon be replaced by an eight-story apartment building with 60 units, New York YIMBY first reported.

According to the April 2 filing with the city Department of Buildings, architect Charles Mallea is planning a 41,147-square-foot project at the site, which is situated between 18th and Ditmas Avenues.

The new complex, which must be entirely residential because of zoning, will include 31 parking spaces, according to the DOB filing. New York YIMBY reported that there will be recreation space and six to eight apartments on each of the eight floors.

According to city records, developer Solomon Schwimmer in February paid $2.84 million for the house at 581 Ocean Parkway and $2.9 million for the building at 575 Ocean Parkway.
