Restaurants come and go, but two new food halls are coming to Brooklyn this fall. Here’s what you can expect in the upcoming months. Bon’ Appetite!

Gotham Market at The Ashland

Located in Fort Greene’s The Ashland, Gotham Market is a first of its kind in the Brooklyn Cultural District. Gotham will offer diners a mixed selection of decadent cuisines prepared by locals chefs and restaurateurs. The market comes from the same team that brought Gotham West Market in Hell’s Kitchen.

Mu Ramen (Long Island City) will anchor the market and chef Joshua Smookler will provide a menu of ramens, burgers and Japanese snacks. John Stage, the founder of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, will operate three counters, Apizza Regionale will serve up foodies with wood-fired pizzas, Southern Italian-inspired salads and sandwiches. For beer and carnivore lovers, Mason Jar opens its first Brooklyn location in , with a Southern-inspired menu specializing in beer, bourbon and barbecue. Gotham is expected to open in October at 590 Fulton St., Fort Greene., gothammarketashland.com.

DeKalb Market Hall

The city’s largest food hall is ready to debut in November in Brooklyn’s City Point development. We reported the 30,000 square foot space would have more than 50 food vendors including Katz’s Delicatessen, Cuzin’s Duzin, Fletcher’s Brooklyn Barbecue, Arepa Lady, Forcella, Steve’s Ice Cream, Pain D’Avignon, a pierogi counter, and a crepe bar. The market is located at 445 Gold St., in Downtown Brooklyn., dekalbmarkethall.com.
