Two More Arrests Made In Last Week’s McDonalds Assault

Police arrested the 15-year-old teen girl seen in “wanted” images/surveillance photos released earlier this week, charging her with assault in the attack on 17-year-old Elizabeth Congress inside the 295 Flatbush Avenue McDonalds last Thursday, May 14.

They also arrested 17-year-old Roget O’Neill for “gang assault” against the 43-year-old man who attempted to intervene in the initial assault on Congress.

These two arrests join a string of apprehensions over the past few days that netted three other suspects.

The incident started at around 2pm on May 14 outside 395 Flatbush Avenue when Naraine reportedly began attacking Elizabeth Congress, 17 — an attack that moved inside the McDonalds and was caught on cell phone video. Congress’s parents claim she was lured there. Then, when the unnamed man attempted to intervene, he was also attacked while a young male “repeatedly urged the suspects to continue to attack the victim by yelling ‘kill him.’”

Congress sustained a laceration to the head and was taken to Brooklyn Hospital. Her parentstold News12 she needs eye surgery and three teeth repaired.

The male victim was treated at Brooklyn Hospital for bruising to his head, face and body.
