Two Bicycles Stolen From A Home’s Garage Near E. 17th Street & Beverley Road

At least one thief made off with two adult bicycles after using a crowbar to pry his or her way into a garage near E. 17th Street and Beverley Road late Monday  night or early Tuesday morning, neighbor Lev told us.

The neighbors at the home called 911 upon realizing there had been a break-in, and Lev said the “police were responsive and arrived quickly.”

After classifying it as a burglary, the police “were going to send an evidence team to the crime scene, although although due to the snow and freezing rain Tuesday night we had to secure the garage before they were able to get a team here,” Lev wrote to us.

Lev also stressed that neighbors should be cautious.

“Be careful!” he wrote. “Don’t take any chances – secure everything.”
