Two Arrested, Two More Sought For Gang Assault At Flatbush Avenue McDonald’s
Two teens have been arrested and two more are being sought by police for their alleged involvement in brawl last Thursday afternoon inside the Flatbush Avenue McDonald’s, at the corner of Fulton Street, that left a teen girl and a 43-year-old good Samaritan beaten.
Asjaney Naraine, 16, was arrested for the “gang assault” of the teen girl and Kendale Hamilton, 18, was arrested for assaulting the good Samaritan.
The incident started at around 2pm on May 14 outside 395 Flatbush Avenue when Naraine reportedly began attacking Elizabeth Congress, 17 — an attack that moved inside the McDonalds and was caught on cell phone video. Congress’s parents claim she was lured there. Then, when the unnamed man attempted to intervene, he was also attacked while a young male “repeatedly urged the suspects to continue to attack the victim by yelling ‘kill him.'”
Congress sustained a laceration to the head and was taken to Brooklyn Hospital. Her parents told News12 she needs eye surgery and three teeth repaired.
The male victim was treated at Brooklyn Hospital for bruising to his head, face and body.
Police are still searching for several suspects, including a person seen photos in surveillance photos wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a light colored backpack with pink coloring. A second suspect, seen in photos, is also being sought for “inciting a riot.”
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips at Crime Stoppers website or texting 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
