Tweens Swipe Teen’s Cellphone At 7th Avenue Q Train Station, Cops Say

Police are searching for two teenage suspects who were involved in the robbery of a 12-year-old victim’s cellphone.

On Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at approximately 4:10pm, the young victim was standing on the southbound platform of the Q train at the 7th Avenue subway station (at Park Place/Flatbush Avenue) when two unidentified individuals approached him and asked to borrow his cell phone to make a phone call.

According to the NYPD the victim, who felt threatened, removed his cell phone out of his pocket, after which the individuals grabbed the cellphone and fled the scene.

The victim was not injured.

Surveillance video shows the suspects were both male black, and approximately 16-years-old.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a red knit hat, black jacket, black pants, red sneakers, carrying a backpack and is seen manipulating the turnstile to enter the subway.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a green hoody, green jacket, black pants, carrying a backpack and last seen using a student Metrocard.
