Tuesday Night Robbery Involving Zip Ties
SHEEPSHEAD BAY – We received a tip yesterday about a massive police presence and K9 dogs on Voorhies Avenue and East 16th Street. It turns out, it was a robbery.
According to the NYPD, two unknown masked men approached a man near Voorhies Avenue and Shore Parkway. They displayed firearms and attempted to zip tie the 34-year-old victim. From his pocket, they removed $400 in cash, a debit card, credit card, and keys. From the victim’s car, they stole his pocketbook which contained a cellphone.
The two suspects then fled and headed in an unknown direction. The victim was uninjured. Cops tell us no one has yet been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
