All neighbors will have the chance to speak directly to police, civic leaders and elected officials about concerns regarding crime in our area at the 70th Precinct Community Council meeting tonight, Wednesday, May 27.

The meeting will be held at 7:30pm at 175 Lawrence Avenue.

Deputy Inspector Richard DiBlasio and other police and civic leaders will address neighbors’ concerns  at the gathering, which follows a series of crimes in the area, including the fatal shooting at Newkirk Avenue and E. 17th Street last night, Molotov cocktails being thrown into the Newkirk Medical Plaza last week, and an armed robbery at a Foster Avenue deli earlier this month.

Are you planning on attending the meeting? What do you hope will be discussed?
