The Flatbush Tenant Coalition (FTC) is hosting a town hall meeting tonight to “bring awareness about the rampant and destructive proliferation of predatory equity in the Flatbush community.”

This meeting is for tenants living in buildings owned by Coltown, Shamah Properties/Shamco, Jonas Equities and Coney Realty, says the FTC.

“Predatory corporations have recently bought hundreds of rent regulated buildings in Flatbush and waged a war against low & moderate income families, mostly people of color, to displace long standing tenants from their homes. This meeting will be more than information and awareness: this is a call to action to end predatory equity and preserve affordable housing in Flatbush.”
