All neighbors will have the chance to speak directly to police, civic leaders and elected officials about concerns regarding crime in our area at the 70th Precinct Community Council meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, June 24 at 7:30pm. The meeting will be held at 175 Lawrence Avenue.

Deputy Inspector Richard DiBlasio and other police and civic leaders will address neighbors’ concerns  at the gathering, which follows a series of crimes in the area, including a man being fatally shot on Flatbush Avenue, another man being shot on Church Avenue, and car windows being smashed.

The meeting also comes after a 70th Precinct sergeant shot a suspect who threatened the cop with a knife and the death of a bicyclist who was hit by a truck at Church and Ocean Avenues yesterday.

Are you planning on attending the meeting? What do you hope will be discussed?
