Got school-aged child (or two, or three)? Come out and meet the New York City Schools chancellor tomorrow!

Chancellor Carmen Fariña will be holding a town hall meeting at I.S. 259 (7301 Fort Hamilton Parkway) Wednesday at 6pm, and she wants to hear what you have to say.

The meeting, which will be hosted by Community Education Council (CEC) for District 20, is not only for parents, though. Teachers, principals, and other school workers from District 20 will also have the chance to ask the chancellor anything. CEC 20 President Laurie Windsor told the Daily Eagle that the topic of overcrowding is likely to come up, since District 20 schools are among the most overcrowded in the city.

All parents are encouraged to attend and there will be on-site interpretation services available. If you can’t make it, post your questions for Chancellor Fariña in the comments and we’ll try to bring them up at tomorrow’s meeting.

Hope to see you there!
