Tomorrow: 500 Coney Island Summer Jobs For Locals
Looking for a summer job on the sunny shores of Coney Island?
The Alliance for Coney Island, Councilman Mark Treyger, Assembly Member Pamela Harris, and New York City Economic Development Corporation announce the second round of job screening events in Coney Island.
The annual job screening event targets locals for job placement opportunities within the iconic Coney Island amusement district. Each year the program provides hundreds of job placement opportunities for local residents.
“As Coney Island continues to grow, the number of available positions increases. We are happy to serve the role of connecting local residents to these opportunities while ensuring businesses are filling their hiring needs with qualified candidates,” said Alexandra Silversmith, Executive of the Alliance for Coney Island.
This second round of events will screen candidates for positions available at Applebee’s Grill & Bar, Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, Luna Park, Nathan’s Famous, Ruby’s Bar and Grill, Aramark and Coney Island YMCA. Available positions include ride and game operators, line and prep cooks, dishwashers, servers, maintenance workers, park and food services, cashiers, summer camp counselors, swim instructors as well as managerial positions.

Members of our community have more avenues than ever before to take advantage of a growing, thriving Coney Island,” said Council Member Mark Treyger.
Participating businesses are looking for courteous, reliable and enthusiastic individuals with flexible schedules. All interested candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Sign in online here for a fast-track sign in at the event tomorrow.
