Voting for District 38’s first ever year of participatory budgeting begins this weekend, and you have several opportunities to make your voice heard around the neighborhood.

The most convenient location is at Greenwood Park (555 7th Avenue, between 19th and 20th Streets) on Sunday, March 30, from 12pm to 5pm. Voting does run through April 6, though, and additional spots around the district can be found here.

If you weren’t able to make it to the big expo, here’s a breakdown of the projects that will be on the ballot. In our neck of the woods, PS 10 is hoping to receive funding for air conditioners inside some of the building’s hottest classrooms, MS 88 is looking for a new dance studio, and Community Board 7 would like to resurface and repair roads in the neighborhood.

District 38 residents ages 16 and older are eligible to vote. For more information, visit the PBNYC website, call Council Member Carlos Menchaca’s office at 718-439-9012, or email district38pb@gmail.com.
