Three Men Shot And Killed At Ingersoll Houses This Weekend (VIDEO)

Early Sunday morning, September 20, three men were shot dead in apparent targeted killings at 58 Fleet Walk, inside the Ingersoll Houses. No one has yet to be arrested, but the police investigation is ongoing.

The three men killed were identified by police as Lacount Simmons, 39, Calvin Clinkscales, 43, and Herbert Brown, 76. Simmons and Clinkscales were shot in the head and died at the scene, whereas Brown was shot in the abdomen and died after being rushed to Methodist Hospital.

It was around 1:47am when the call of shots fired went out to police and EMS.

According to the New York Times, this shooting ended a quiet streak in terms of deadly shootings at Ingersoll:

City officials said that crime at the houses, which had been among the most violent public housing complexes in the city, had dropped dramatically over the past year, as the city invested millions in anti-crime measures there. Until Sunday morning, the Ingersoll Houses had not had a homicide since 2013, according to New York Police Department statistics.
The three deaths were among several around the city this weekend, including a shooting at Flatbush and Church Avenues.

We will update with more information and reactions as they become available.
