Three Men Attempted To Rob Neighbor On E. 23rd Street, Between Foster & Farragut, Last Night

Less than a week after a woman was robbed at gunpoint on E. 23rd Street, between Foster and Farragut, another neighbor let us know three young men attempted to rob him at the same spot last night.

“I was chased for a block,” the neighbor wrote to us of the incident that happened around 7:30pm.

He immediately called 911 and said several 70th Precinct squad cars soon arrived, meeting him at Ocean and Foster. As far as we know, nobody has been apprehended in connection to this most recent incident. Yesterday, the 70th Precinct told us they arrested two men, one who they said was responsible for at least two muggings in the area and another who robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint yesterday afternoon.

Fortunately, both the neighbor who the men tried to rob last night, as well as the woman who was robbed last week, were not physically injured. Nothing was stolen from the man last night.
