Three Big Events in Brooklyn This Weekend: Brooklyn Half Marathon, Bay Fest and Fabulous Fifth

Three big, family-friendly events will take place this weekend.

Brooklyn Half Marathon is this Saturday, May 19, and despite the almost 100% chance of rain, more than 27,500 runners are expected to race down from Prospect Park to Coney Island in the largest half-marathon in the United States.

On Sunday, rain or no rain, Fabulous Fifth on 5th Avenue in Park Slope between 10am and 6pm between Sterling and 12th Street.

A couple of hours later, Bay Fest will begin on Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay between noon and 6pm:
