Thoughts on Gifted & Talented Programs

Parents have been receiving notices about whether or not their kids have been accepted to the city’s gifted and talented programs, and now the mad rush to check out our Brooklyn option begins. Local parents looking at the Brooklyn School of Inquiry have a lot of questions, and we’re hoping parents who have children enrolled there already can share details of your experiences.

Is your child happy there? What’s the workload like? Is there homework, and if so, how much time does your child spend on it? What else is important to you?

Additionally, since getting into the school is still such a matter of chance, what are your back-up schools?

Also of note, a bus to BSI picks up and drops off in front of the library.
