This Week’s F & G Subway Changes
After the awful news that a man was killed by a train at the 4th Avenue/9th Street station this morning, F and G service has been restored. Other subway changes to look out for this week include the F skipping Avenue U from Tuesday through Friday, via the MTA:
Starting Monday:
Jamaica-bound F trains skip 75th Avenue, Van Wyck Boulevard, and Sutphin Boulevard
Late nights, 9:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, September 29 through October 3
For service to 75th Avenue, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F. For service to Van Wyck and Sutphin boulevards, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from 75th Avenue and Van Wyck Boulevard, take the E or F to Union Turnpike or 71st Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.
Coney Island-bound F trains run local from 71st Avenue to 21 Street-Queensbridge
Late nights, 10pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, September 29 through October 3
Trains stop at 67th Avenue, 63rd Drive, Woodhaven Boulevard, Grand Avenue, Elmhurst Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue, 65th Street, Northern Boulevard, 46th Street, Steinway Street, and 36th Street.
G trains run every 30 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues.
Late nights, 11pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, September 29 through October 3
Service operates in two sections: one, every 30 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and two, every 15 minutes between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue. Transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to continue your trip.
Starting Tuesday:
Jamaica-bound F trains skip Avenue U
Days, 10:15am to 3pm, Tuesday to Thursday, September 30 through October 2
For service to this station, take the F to Kings Highway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from this station, take the F to Avenue X and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.
