This Week’s B & Q Subway Changes
There are a couple things to watch out for this week, including B trains running local from Kings Highway to Prospect Park and Q trains running express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway, via the MTA:
Starting Monday:
Q trains run every 30 minutes between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Stillwell Avenue
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8
Service operates in two sections: between 57 Street-7 Avenue and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Stillwell Avenue. Transfer at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to continue your trip.
Starting Tuesday:
57 Street/7 Avenue-bound Q trains skip DeKalb Avenue
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Tuesday, August 5 through Friday, August 8
To DeKalb Avenue, transfer to the 2 or 4 at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center for service to nearby Nevins Street. For service from this station, take the D, N, or Q to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer to a 57 Street/7 Avenue bound Q.
Starting Wednesday:
145 Street-bound B trains run local from Kings Highway to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday, August 6 through Friday, August 8
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday, August 6 through Friday, August 8
Trains stop at Church Avenue and Newkirk Plaza. For service to Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road, Cortelyou Road, Avenue H, Avenue J, and Avenue M, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, or Kings Highway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q. For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue, or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.
Remember, there can be unscheduled changes to your subway schedule, so be sure to check the MTA’s website before heading out.
