This Weekend’s Park Slope Open House Picks

We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open house listings coming up in the area this weekend. Any thoughts on these places?

Size: Three-family
Details: This four-story brownstone is currently configured with the owner’s lower duplex, which includes access to the backyard, with two 1-bed, 1-bath units on the top two floors. This listing doesn’t note that it will be delivered vacant, but a previous realtor’s did — you’ll also note a bump in price, of about $160k since that earlier listing. That’s the one to check out for a couple photos, too (ugh, that tile everywhere). Special note to hip hop fans, this home is on the block that will soon be renamed for Pumpkinhead.

Size: Three bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: The layout of this new-to-market apartment is interesting — that’s a really long hallway — and the realtor notes you might want to “bring your contractor or architect to view and design” the space. And with just one dark photo of the interior, it’s hard to tell just how much work the place needs, so you also might want to bring an open mind to the open house. The location is great, close to the F/G at 7th Ave, Prospect Park, and our favorite donut shop, but it’s also near the Methodist construction.

List Price: $699,000, maintenance $650
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: There aren’t photos in the listing yet for this apartment, but we bet you’ll have to act fast on this nicely located spot, where the last 1-bed unit to sell, back in January of this year, went for $720k — $70k over the asking price. The listing notes that both the bathroom and the kitchen have been renovated, and that the kitchen’s got a dishwasher and space for a dining table.

List Price: $399,000, maintenance $836
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: Another 1-bed, 1-bath, and yet quite the price difference. This listing has at least a couple photos, but only of the main living room, and no floorplan available — though a glance at one here shows that a wall may have been built to alter this from a studio, hence that price? This is just north of the 8th Ave apartment listed above, making you that much further away from donuts, though the walk will probably do you good after a marble twist.
