We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Ditmas Park this Sunday. Any thoughts on these places?

CONDOS & CO-OPS

920 E 17th Street, #621
List Price: $148,000, $269 maintenance
Size: Studio, one bathroom
Details: This place isn’t a true one bed yet, but it looks like it would be easy enough to stick some French doors in there if you wanted. As is, the approximately 550 sq ft, top floor unit is airy and bright–and we wonder which utilities are covered in what seems like a very manageable monthly fee. The catch? Aside from coop board approval, you’ll have to put 25% down to buy.
Open House: Sunday, April 27, 2:30-4pm

34 Crooke Avenue #4A
List Price: $599,000, $414 common charges
Size: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: This unit might not have quite the same open feeling as the one above, but you will have two real bedrooms, two baths for easy guest hosting/morning routines, and a balcony. It’s close to food, shopping, and transportation on Church Avenue, as well as to Prospect Park, and there’s an in building gym and in unit laundry. If you can stomach the price, then bring your pet and enjoy the amenities.
Open House: Sunday, April 27, 1pm-2:30pm

HOUSES

421 Marlborough Road
List Price: $949,000
Size: Seven bedrooms, three bathrooms split over two units
Details: This 1899 home is close to shopping, restaurants, and transportation (very close to transportation) at Cortelyou Road. The listing says it needs work, but on the upside, maybe that rental unit can bring in the income to make up for renovation costs! If you’re looking for a place to customize and can live with the subway in your backyard, this might be the one. How does the price strike you?
Open House: Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 1-3pm

454 Rugby Road
List Price: $1,895,000
Size: Six bedrooms, two and half bathrooms
Details: Situated on a quieter block but still near transportation and amenities, this home is just under twice the price of the one above. You won’t have to worry about doing restorations and updates yourself, and you will have a train-free backyard and a garage, but you’ll also be losing a bedroom, a third full bathroom, and a rental unit. And we suppose, if you don’t love wallpaper, red doors, and blue floors quite the way we do, you’ll have to put some work into that. But come on. Keep the wallpaper.
Open House: Sunday, April 27, 2:30-4:30pm
